My Very First Post!

So this is my first post, on my very first blog. I am so excited!

I will try to post 2 reviews every week, but if school takes over my life, I will do at least one. Also, I'll be participating in challenges, Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and the Bookish), and Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Breaking the Spine.

Since I am new to the blogging world, I'll probably make lots of beginner's mistakes. If you guys have any tips to give me, or can tell me how to improve my blog, please comment!

  1. Hi Summer! Ahhh all this book blogging stuff is really exciting! I remember when I first got my review request, emails from authors, etc. I'm excited for you and welcome to the blogging community! I also left a comment on your Goodreads profile. Hehe, just wanted to let you know if you need help you can ask me. :) Hmm some tips, you should keep a schedule of when you're post are going to go live, like for me I keep a calendar and on each box I write down the title, author, and type of post I'm going to put on my blog (if it's a review, giveaway, author interview, cover reveal, or book feature). Also don't overwhelm yourself with too much books. It should be fun and not stressful. Trust me, you're going to get a lot of requests, or/and sign up for a lot of book tours. Have fun girl!

  3. Your first blog! That's very exciting! I've had a couple book blogs over the years, but ultimately gave up on most of them. The number one piece of advice I can give is update consistently, but don't burn yourself out by updating TOO MUCH. Blogging should be fun and not feel like a job. I think that was one of the biggest reasons I stopped blogging so many times before; it just wasn't fun to me anymore when I felt obligated to do it.

    1. That was my main reason I was hesistant to start a blog; I wasn't sure if I would always be able to update my blog consistently. But I finally decided to because I saw other people's blogs, and they seemed to have a lot of fun with it. Thank you for the advice, it really helped me understand a little more about blogging.

  5. Hiya!
Just wanted to hop on by and say hola and welcome to the blogging community! :D I'm a bit of a newbie myself but I abandoned my gaming blog because I felt like it just wasn't really me to yap about gaming when I started book blogging. Plus, I'm not one to update it constantly. They always post their news at 9am, when I'm at school. -_- Book blogging was more fun because I could post it when I need to. Just don't put too much pressure on yourself and you'll do fine. :3 You'll also want to "keep it balanced" and try not to overdo yourself because you'll get lots of requests, emails, etc.
But oy, feel free to give me a holler if you need help; I'll try even though I have trouble explaining... lol. :)

  6. Welcome to the world of blogging! It's nice to know other new bloggers out there aside from me :)

I actually made my blog a long time ago, but I just didnt mind it until recently, so I still consider myself a new blogger. :))
